Pricing . . .
Murals range in price based on factors including:
> size (one wall, one
room, etc.)
> complexity of the
design (the amount of detail requested)
> labor (time, effort
required)
> working environment
(high ceilings, damaged or unprepared walls, etc.)
Price (on-site visit is necessary to establish price):
Per square foot
for children's rooms/living spaces in acrylic
Minimum cost is $350
Murals on canvas (marouflage)
cost the same as murals painted on site.
*Ceilings are
charged at 1 ½ times the rate
Prices include:
> initial consultation
> design conception/
creative ideas/ expertise
> sketches
> painting
> materials
Prices do not include:
>
travel
(40.5 cents per mile beyond 25 miles)
> scaffolding rental
(for rooms with high ceilings, or larger outdoor work)
Smaller designs:
Accents, single
characters, flowers, etc. are priced per hour
*(with a $350
minimum charge).
Faux finishes:
From $200 to
$450 per wall ... depending on size and technique required.
Glazing,
stenciling,
marbling are charged at different rates.
Multiple colors,
requiring multiple 'passes' or coats are additional.
Hand painted furniture:
$200 - $400 medium
pieces (chairs, chests, side tables, children's furniture, etc.)
$400 & up large
pieces (dressers, armoires, etc.) for design only, no prep work
included
After the initial
consultation, clients receive a written estimate. This proposal
describes the project and provides an estimate of the cost.
Attached to the proposal is a preliminary sketch(es) if
requested and fee applied.
Generally 50% of the fee
is due before work begins and the balance is paid upon
completion. Progress payments may be required for larger
commissions. The Artist signs all work and photographs it for
her company's portfolio.
